You must cancel at least 24 hours prior to your subscription renewal date to ensure that your cancellation is received in time to avoid an additional charge. All CliffsNotes subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. When you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to it until the end of your current billing cycle, but you will not be charged again unless you resubscribe in the future.

All CliffsNotes subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. We are not able to offer a refund for late cancellations, so be sure to cancel your subscription once you are finished enjoying it.

The CliffsNotes subscription automatically renews every month or year (depending on which type of subscription you choose). If you know that you only need one month of the subscription, you can subscribe to the monthly plan, then immediately cancel the subscription. As a part of your subscription, you can ask an expert tutor to answer a certain number of questions per month. This number renews each month. Your question must comply with our copyright policy and honor code. After you have submitted a question and the tutor has responded, usually in under 30 minutes, you will be able to find the response in the "Ask a question" widget on the CliffsNotes website.

For many of our literature notes we offer two different types of PDF downloads. Complete Notes PDFs are the entire CliffsNotes literature note, just in a PDF format. Quick Sheets are quick review organizers—the entire literature note compressed down to about two pages for quick study and review.

When you subscribe, you'll have a certain number of PDF downloads each month. The download limits apply to downloads of different PDFs. Once you download a specific PDF from a specific title—say the Complete Notes for A Wrinkle in Time—for as long as you remain subscribed you can re-download that same PDF again in that same month or any future month without it counting against your limits. Downloading any different PDF—whether the Quick Sheet for A Wrinkle in Time or the PDF for any other title—will count against your limit. The limits reset each month.

CliffsNotes subscriptions are offered with a set number of downloads, depending on the plan you choose. For a monthly subscription, you will be able to download 5 CliffsNotes guides per month. For a yearly subscription, you will be able to download 10 guides per month. Unused downloads do not roll-over to following months and are not refundable.
